Opening the 2026 VeszprémFest program is Colombian singer-songwriter Juanes, one of the most internationally recognized figures in Latin rock. Over a solo career spanning more than two decades, his musical achievements have been recognized with prestigious awards: his collection includes 4 Grammy Awards and 26 Latin Grammy Awards, making him one of the most awarded artists in the latter’s history. In 2019, the Latin Recording Academy named him "Person of the Year" for his musical and humanitarian work.
His style is characterized by a fusion of Spanish-language rock, pop, and elements of Colombian folk music (such as cumbia and vallenato). His name is synonymous with global hits like "La Camisa Negra."
