Bagolyvári multi-storey carpark
Bagolyvári multi-storey carpark is in the centre of Veszprém and is easy to reach via Bagolyvári Road. It has capacity for 190 vehicles. It operates with a barrier and ticket machine system.
On arrival, press the button on the ticket issuing machine and you will receive a ticket with a barcode. This ticket shows the name of the carpark, a serial number, date and time. Keep this ticket safe as there is a penalty fee for lost tickets and their barcode and information. Once you have taken your ticket, the barrier will be raised automatically. From 16:00, the entrances and exits to the carpark are closed with a security grill. After this time, you can only access the carpark with your ticket, so keep it with you while your vehicle is parked in the carpark.
Pay at the machine before leaving the carpark. You can change the language on the machine from Hungarian to English. Hold the barcode on the ticket in front of the barcode scanner on the machine, which will display your parking time and the due amount. If you are paying with coins, you can use 10, 20, 50, 100 or 200 Hungarian forint coins.
When leaving the car park, insert your ticket into the slot of the automatic barcode reader. If payment has been made, the barrier will open automatically.
Szeglethy Street Underground Carpark
This carpark is easily accessible in the centre of Veszprém and has capacity for 117 vehicles. You can turn into Szeglethy Street from Óvári Ferenc Street. You will then find the barrier to the carpark entrance on your right.
You get a parking ticket at the ticket machine at the barriers.
If you are paying with coins, you can use 10, 20, 50, 100 or 200 Hungarian forint coins.
The number plate recognition system will automatically match your vehicle’s number plate with your ticket
Before leaving the carpark, pay the parking fee at the machine by the exit barrier, or at the machine next to the wall on the way to your vehicle. Hold the barcode on your ticket in front of the barcode scanner. The display will show you the amount due. You can pay the amount shown on the display, with coins and/or bank notes. Take your ticket and don’t forget any change. If necessary, press the button indicated to request a proof of payment slip. Please note: after paying, you have to leave the carpark within 10 minutes. Otherwise you will need to return to the payment machine to pay any excess parking fee due.

ActiCity carpark
Veszprém, Hóvirág street 1.
The ActiCity parking garage is located in the city centre, in the easily accessible Hóvirág street. The covered car park has 154 spaces available for a fee 24/7. The car park has 6 parking spaces for disabled people and 4 parking spaces with 11 kW electric charging stations.
P+R discount: only the first 3 hours of the 8-hour period from the start of parking are chargeable, the remaining 5 hours are free of charge*.
*after the first 8-hour period, the cycle restarts and the first 3 hours of the next 8 hours are charged again.
On arrival, a ticket machine at the entrance barrier will issue a parking ticket. After collecting the ticket, the barrier opens automatically. Before leaving the car park, the ticket must be held in front of the barcode reader of the ticket machine. The machine reads the parking time from the barcode and calculates the parking fee. The parking fee can be paid in cash or by credit card. After payment, the parking system unlocks the barrier by holding the parking ticket up to the barcode reader at the exit barrier.
A cash payment invoice for the parking fee can be requested at the ActiCity information desk (Building A, 1st floor) between Mon-Fri 11.00 - 22.00.
Coaches can stop briefly (max 5 mins) at the stop at Vörösmárty Mihály Square (painted yellow pavement sign, GPS coordinates: lat: 47° 5' 25.5" N / long: 17° 54' 46.9" E) while passengers are being dropped off and picked up.
Coach drivers can wait free of charge in the One Veszprém Arena car park (Külső Kádártai Road, GPS coordinates: long: 47° 06' 20.00" N | lat: 17° 55' 58.00" E) while their group is visiting Veszprém. This parking facility is only available during the day and for a limited period*.
*Please check the current daily events at the One Veszprém Arena before the group’s arrival in Veszprém (http://www.veszpremarena.hu/hu/Rendezvenynaptar). On event days, coaches have to leave the car park two hours before the event starts. Parking at night is not permitted and buses may not be left unattended while waiting.
The historic part of town is a short 10-minute walk from Vörösmarty Square. Head northwest towards the junction on the ÉNY road. Cross over to the left side using the zebra crossing before the crossroads. Turn right past the building on the corner and then cross using the zebra crossing towards the Charles Church. Cross over to the right using the zebra crossing at the corner by the church and head northwest past the fast food restaurant along Brusznyai Árpád Street to Hangvilla**. Go past the Hangvilla and cross over using the zebra crossing at the bottom of the street towards the Mackó Confectioner’s shop. Cross over using the zebra crossing at the confectioner’s shop and head right towards Szabadság Square. Cross the square and continue straight on along Rákóczi Ferenc Street towards Óváros Square. From here a straight street leads up to the castle, towards the Fire Tower.
An additional option, subject to availability, for those arriving by coach is the Köd Street bus car park, a 10-minute walk from Óváros Square and the castle.
Starting from the car park, head up Cserhát Street, then turn right onto Bagolyvári Street and go straight ahead, passing the Lovassy László Grammar School. Then, at the end of the road, at the roundabout at Szabadság Square, take the second exit along Rákóczi Ferenc Street towards Óváros Square. From here a straight street leads in the direction of the Fire Tower and up the castle.
Other useful information:
**Toilets (also with disabled access) are located in the Hangvilla Multifunctional Community Space building, a 3-minute walk from the drop-off and pick-up point. The ground floor toilets only are open daily 8.00-18.00 (2 Brusznyai Árpád Street, GPS coordinates: lat: 47° 5' 32.3" N / long: 17° 54' 32.1" E). The overall charge for the service is 2,000 HUF per group for bus groups (10-50 people). You can request a cash invoice for this at the Hangvilla reception. Please call 06-88/889-180 in advance to reserve the use of the toilets and to request your invoice. The Hangvilla Multifunctional Community Space is closed on certain holidays and during private events. Please contact 06-88/889-180 in advance for information.
It is also possible to use a public restroom 15 minutes from the landing and take-off point at the Heroes' Gate (Vár utca 2.), which can be used during the opening hours of the Heroes' Gate. Fee: 200 HUF/person.

V-Busz - local bus services:
Visitors can take direct bus services to the city centre from the railway station in Veszprém (1, 2, 4-4A, 5, 10). We recommend getting off at the Veszprém bus terminal or at the Hotel stop in the city centre. V-Bike:
V-Bike, the electric bike rental system of Veszprém, offers a total of 100 electric bicycles for rent at 10 collection stations around the city. The rented bikes can be handed over at any station at the end of their use. There are daily tickets, 3 day tickets and weekly tickets available.
The use of the V-Bike system requires registration which can be done on the website, in the V-Bike application or at the collection stations.
Lime:
The Lime E-roller service is also available in Veszprém, allowing guests to cover small distances within the city. Using the service simply requires downloading the Lime app from the Play Store or AppStore and locating the nearest scooter. The basic fee and per minute usage fee are payable via the app.
