
Kraftwerk from Düsseldorf is one of the pioneers of electronic music, and is credited with creating the concept of "robot-pop". Their influence on later musical trends, including the development of techno, hip-hop and synth-pop, is undeniable.
The band's impact on the music industry has been recognized with numerous awards: in 2014 they received a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award and in 2021 they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. They also won the Grammy Award for "Best Dance/Electronic Album" for their album 3-D The Catalogue.
