A multinational band, they perform their songs in 25 languages. They were founded in 1994 by American pianist Thomas Lauderdale with the aim of combining classical, jazz, Latin and pop music genres, creating a unique sound. Their debut single, “Sympathique (Je ne veux pas travailler)”, was released in 1997 and became an immediate success.
They have toured the world, playing at the opening of the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the opening ceremony of the renovated Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Kennedy Center and the 80th Academy Awards. In 2014, they were inducted into the Hollywood Bowl Hall of Fame and the Oregon Music Hall of Fame. Like Beth Hart, Pink Martini will make up for their cancelled 2025 concert in 2026.
