Zoltán Szegedy-Maszák and Márton Fernezelyi have been creating media art installations together for over a quarter of a century, often inviting other collaborators to join their projects.
Their artistic approach is constantly renewed through collaboration, the integration of diverse perspectives, and the inclusion of various fields of interest. These dynamics also have a profound impact on Szegedy-Maszák’s solo works.
The exhibition features a reimagined version of their spectacular interactive virtual reality installation Promenade (1998), now enhanced with stereoscopic projection. Since 2002, this work has been shown at numerous international exhibitions, yet has only been presented in Hungary twice, both in the early 2000s.
In addition to interactive installations, the exhibition showcases Szegedy-Maszák’s three-dimensional lenticular image series, which explore the borderlands of photographic image-making and computer-generated space. Also on display are spatial image sequences produced using 3D printing, examining the relationships between text, image, and object.
