Treasure of Heroes – exhibition about the castle’s history

The ‘Treasure of Heroes’ exhibition, displayed in the exhibition hall of Heroes’ Gate, would like to highlight Veszprém’s central role in the Middle Ages while presenting such objects and stories that make Veszprém stand out among the medieval castles and towns in the area but also in the country. The castle is presented as ecclesiastical and administrative centre while being structured around a subject or a group of subjects. The exhibition place on the first floor mainly focuses on the period of the Árpád dynasty and on the second floor the era of Hungarian border fortresses is brought to life with the display of clothing, tools and a model.
