In 2025, the House of Arts Veszprém launches a new exhibition series highlighting works from its fine art collection.
The first exhibition is inspired by Dezső Szabó’s panel painting Volcano, created with photographic techniques, and explores a branch of disaster painting focused on volcanoes. Alongside rare old books and 19th-century works by Miklós Barabás and Károly Kisfaludy, visitors can also discover contemporary volcano-themed artworks from the past two decades – creating a dialogue between historic art and today’s mediated visual culture.
