In 2012, a new hotel appeared in Veszprém: Hotel Historia Malomkert. The hotel is not only new, but also unique in many aspects. Its setting is truly picturesque, surrounded by the Séd stream and huge green belt areas, while the castle looks down on it from above. It is a peaceful corner of the city center, next to which a bicycle path runs - to the ancient Margaret ruins, and even further to the Zoo.
In 2022, a new period began in the life of the hotel, as 17 new rooms were added. The expansion turned out to be really exciting: instead of dressing the rooms up in uniform, each of them got a unique design. The moods of the rooms were inspired by the region, and this is how the rooms named Balaton, Bakony, or Teatrum were created.
Many of the new rooms have special geometry, but they all have one thing in common: they await the guests with unique wallpapers, lights and individually assembled furniture; in one word, with a unique milieu.
When designing the new wing of the building, they not only strove to ensure that all rooms were equipped with modern, four-star equipment - they also kept in mind to satisfy the needs of guests looking for exclusivity: a large room was also created in the new wing that has a direct view of the castle and the Séd stream; what is more, it has such magnificent view that no other accommodation in the city can offer.
They hope that getting to know each room will be at least as refreshing for returning guests as it was for them to design them.
The building is a monument, so the renewal required careful work: the rooms and the restaurant are connected by a single airspace, the floor’s unity is broken by a glass surface, beneath which trickling water mimics a stream. All of these hidden and unique features are enough to make the hotel worth a visit.
