Retro vibes, contemporary flavours
One of the most unique spots in Veszprém’s city centre, Nyomda Pizzát! combines bold flavours with a nostalgic atmosphere. Once a printing house, the venue now serves pizza with a side of time travel – and a whole lot of personality.
The main dining area is packed with quirky details: a vintage May Day poster, a school pioneer board, a punch clock set to 8 o’clock, and even a lamp made from an old rocking horse. The iconic Hungarian slogan "8 hours of work – 8 hours of rest – 8 hours of fun" is proudly displayed and brought to life.
But the true adventure begins beyond the garden, where three retro-inspired rooms await. Step through the "Office" door to find a 1980s house party scene, complete with disco ball, old furniture, a hair dryer dome – and even a cardboard cut-out of pop legend György Korda. Guests can plug in their phones and take over the sound system for an impromptu dance session.
There’s also a ping pong room showcasing world champion Ágnes Simon’s paddle, and a third space known as the “Balaton beach,” which recreates the vibe of classic socialist-era resorts – perfect for casual get-togethers or events for up to 20 people.
Nyomda Pizzát! is more than a pizzeria – it’s an interactive, nostalgia-fueled journey that’s pure Veszprém.
