This year marks the 12th edition of the Auer Festival in Veszprém, held in honor of the world-renowned violinist and music educator Lipót Auer, who was born in Veszprém.
The goal of the organizing Mendelssohn Chamber Orchestra is to bring artists—who, as leading figures in the international classical music scene, perform in the world’s most prestigious concert halls—to the picturesque, historic city of Veszprém.
The festival’s resident orchestra is traditionally the organizing Mendelssohn Chamber Orchestra.
The program is extremely diverse: from chamber music and orchestral evenings to world music and folk music concerts, music lovers will find a wide variety of offerings and are sure to enjoy an experience they’ll remember for a lifetime.
