Festive Programmes at the Laczkó Dezső Museum

Celebrate together on 20 August 2025 at the Laczkó Dezső Museum! We honour our state-founding King Saint Stephen and the 90th anniversary of the Bakonyi House.

Flavours from our Garden – Spice up your own lemonade! (Bring your water bottle or buy a reusable cup on site)

Craft workshop – Embroidery with Márta Egervári and Orsolya Kővári
10:15–12:15 and 13:30–15:30
Participation fee: 1,000 HUF/person (includes a hand-embroidered cotton tote bag to take home)

  • Memory Machine – Hospitality / by historian Dr Krisztián Fogl: 10:15 and 11:15
  • Looking at Lake Balaton – Száz7vers – Balaton Almanach (1967–1999–2023) / by chief museologist and curator Erzsébet Pilipkó: 10:30 and 13:00
  • Treasures of the Lonely Hill – Millennia-old stories from Somló Hill / by archaeologist Noémi Sebestyén: 11:00 and 13:30

Music programme:

Concert by Sans’ole Duo at 14:00 and again after the bread blessing

15:00 – Bread Blessing – The blessing of the bread of the City of Veszprém and the Museum

External venue – Essegvár in Bánd:
Archaeological open day, led by archaeologist Szabolcs Balázs Nagy
Castle presentation and artefact introduction at 10:00 and 14:00

Back room of the Bakonyi House:
11:00 – Opening of the exhibition Masters of Masters 3, organised by the Veszprém County Folk Art Association

Admission:
Participation in all exhibitions and programmes is possible with a 300 HUF technical ticket.
(Embroidery workshop requires a separate ticket.)
