Interactive mill history exhibition in the only intact water mill in Veszprém.
Visiting the mills gives guests a detailed insight into their operation, the hard work involved and the entire milling process, from the grain to the finished flour. The interactive nature of the milling exhibition means that visitors can touch and try out the equipment on display. Several hand-mills have been set up so that visitors can experience the difficulties of milling and then take the milled wheat home in a small flour bag. At the entrance, visitors will be given a small map to play with and learn about the old tools. Children can sift, weigh themselves with a mortar, sharpen a millstone and watch the process of making a water wheel. In the renovated kitchen, and for larger events in the courtyard oven, it is possible to bake langallo / bread.
The children's corner will also provide entertainment for younger children (e.g. a water mill puzzle, wooden toys, folk games, a kitchenette). A book-saving shelf is also set up for free exchanges of old books.
The exhibition is open to visitors at any time by prior arrangement.
