More Than Pop – Alternative music on 29 August at Agóra Veszprém Cultural Centre
Performers:
Kiad Trio – 17:30
Singer-songwriter Róbert Oláh's project Kiad is a fresh addition to the Hungarian acoustic music scene. With music that stays true to itself, follows no trends, and imitates no one, Kiad still manages to deeply resonate with its audience. In 2024, the band made it to the Kikeltető Shortlist and received numerous professional awards, including the Gábor Újfalusi Award and accolades for songwriting and performance. They will perform in trio formation in Veszprém.
TOTORO – 19:00
TOTORO was founded five years ago. Their first album, Akvárium, was released in 2022, and the second one is on the way this year. Due to their focus on studio work, this Veszprém show is one of their few concerts in 2025. Their Hungarian-language, emotionally charged songs started with just a guitar and ukulele, but are now presented with a full band. The audience can expect several brand-new tracks not yet released anywhere.
Hűvös – 20:30
Formed in Szeged in the summer of 2020, Hűvös was selected among the top 16 performers of the Kikeltető showcase in 2021 and also received support from the National Cultural Fund (NKA) as a rising artist. Their second album, IMÁGÓ, was released on 15 November 2024. Their album launch tour kicked off with a sold-out show in Budapest’s Turbina on 30 April 2025. On 29 August, they’ll bring their powerful alternative rock sound to Veszprém.
Throughout the evening, HangolÓra will be present with an interactive instrument exhibition. Visitors can try out some of the most popular instruments such as guitar, drums, and keyboards.
Organisers reserve the right to make changes to the programme.
