Cycling routes from Veszprém

The following cycle routes start from Veszprém:

  • Veszprém- Nemesvámos cycle path
    In Veszprém, the cycle path starts from the Wartha Vince junction and leaves the city on the right side of József Attila street, under the junction of the main road 8 at Tapolca. From here, just go straight along the forest, through which you can reach the administrative area of Nemesvámos. The end point is Papp István Street. Its elevation is 64 metres and its length is 4,1 km. 
  • Veszprém-Balatonalmádi cycle path

    Veszprém-Veszprém-Balatonalmádi cycle paths offer a wonderful scenery, and kilometre by kilometre you can feel the approach of Lake Balaton and the continuous calm of the city. The route is 14.8 km long. It starts from Komakút Square. Due to the current renovations, the line along the Elisabeth promenade has to be bypassed by a detour along Egyetem Street to the first left turn at Hóvirág Street, which is in the right lane, and then straight on to Elisabeth Grove. From here you can join the road exactly. The end of the cycle path is Budatava, from where the route can be continued by connecting to the entire cycle path around Lake Balaton.


  • Veszprém-Kádárta
    The cycle path is 4.4 km long. You can connect to it from the roundabout on Almádi út, from there it goes all the way to Kádárta until Győri utca.
  • Veszprém- Alsóörs
    16,3 km long cycle path, which includes the cyclists of Szabadságpusztas and Felsőörs! The cycle path starts from the Szilágyi László street gallery in Veszprém and ends at the promenade of the beach in Unterörs. From here it is possible to connect to the entire cycle route around Lake Balaton.
  • Veszprém- Bánd
    More than 6 km long cycle path starting from the Laczkó spring in Veszprém. The road is three metres wide to provide access to agricultural areas and to allow safe cycling. In addition to cyclists, the cycle path is also accessible to vehicles entering neighbouring areas for agricultural, forestry and public works purposes, but no other vehicles are allowed to use the path, the municipality pointed out.
