Petőfi Theatre of Veszprém

The Veszprém Petőfi Theatre is the leading theatre in the “City of Queens”. It is the most important cultural attraction in the city and county of Veszprém: an average of 100,000 people come to watch inspiring, high quality performances here every year. The theatre runs two major festivals – the Róbert Rátonyi Operetta Festival and the Lélektől-lélekig Érzékenyítő Festival (Soul to Soul Awareness-raising Festival), which are held every year and attract significant numbers of visitors. These festivals have been attracting an increasing numbers of visitors from across Hungary and beyond every year. Starting in summer 2021, audiences can also look forward to inspiring performances and musical evenings at special discount prices, in Balatonalmádi, in the gardens of the Vörösberény Monastery and at the Kerényi Imre Kult-Magtár hall and basement.

Audiences can buy season tickets or tickets for individual performances and enjoy new shows every season: 5 large stage theatre productions, 5 small scale productions, 2 shows for children and youth.

The Petőfi Theatre in Veszprém is special because in addition to its core activities, it has also taken on a lively social role. Faithful to their motto, they endeavour to meet audience expectations with high quality performances and to share both culture and the healing, energising power of the theatre.
