This classical music festival named after the world-famous composer Lipót Auer is a regular August event in Veszprém.
The festival, organised by the Mendelssohn Chamber Orchestra of Veszprém and the Auer Academy brings together the greatest of Hungarian and international classical music elite to dazzle audiences with their concerts each year. Those who are fond of this kind of high culture can enjoy the concerts of the Auer Violin Festival in the Hangvilla’s great hall and the impressive halls of County Hall. However, open air concerts have also been held in the Cloisters and Gardens event space in Veszprém Valley.
The Auer Violin Festival pays tribute to both the life’s work of Lipót Auer, a native of Veszprém, and to other representatives of high quality classical music.
