Chaconne Festival / Tritonus Guitar Trio
The event is over!

The Tritonus Guitar Trio plays such melodies that audiences rarely hear being preformed on three guitars. They are constantly expanding their repertoire, selecting pieces from different musical periods and creating their own interpretation.

The members of the trio are Levente Molnár, Gergely Szurgyi and Bálint Varga. They played for the first time in 2015 as Tritonus Guitar Trio. That year, all three of them did their musical studies at the Széchenyi István University in Győr, under the professional guidance of Ede Roth and Balázs Arnóth.

The ensemble performs regularly for national and international audiences. They have also been recognised at national and international competitions, as they won the Győr University Competition and the Szeged National Guitar Competition.

They were winners of the chamber music competition L.Luthier Contest in Bratislava in November 2016. In 2018, they won the audience prize at the chamber music competition in Braga (Portugal) and they came first inthe chamber category of the Bratislava Guitar Competition. In the same year, they were awarded second place in the chamber music category of the world-renowned Guitar Foundation of America guitar competition. In 2019, they won the chamber music category of the Guitar Foundation of America guitar competition in Miami.
