Gyárkert CulturePark

Gyárkert is a place of coming together and discussing experiences of shared memories.

The event venue, which can accommodate 5000 people, welcomes the residents of Veszprém and the visitors in the city on a 2-hectare fenced-off area. Guests can discover the peculiarities of local gastronomy in Gyárkert, as dozens of restaurants in Veszprém tend to have a booth at the various events.

The Gyárkert CulturePark is also home to the Garden of Communities. Built from plant crates, the installation commemorates the 116 settlements participating in the Veszprém-Balaton 2023 European Capital of Culture Programme. The settlements are symbolized by the tree saplings placed in a plant crate. The Garden of Communities is an artwork accessible to everyone, but after four years the saplings will be moved to their respective settlements together with the plant crates. This is a way to commemorate the joint effort of 2023.

Located on the site of the former Balaton Furniture Factory, Gyárkert CulturePark has two entrances. The main entrance is accessible from Balaton Plaza, while the second entrance is next to the bus station in Veszprém (on Jutasi út). A separate accessible wheelchair entrance is located at the main entrance.

You can pay for your ticket by card or cash, but the catering units use the cashless Festipay system and visitors can also use their own contactless bank cards. The site also features Festipay points, where visitors can top up their Festipay cards with cash.

More information on parking options for those coming by car is available here.

On event days you can visit the park with a valid entrance ticket.

Tickets can be purchased through the official website of the event venue at www.gyarkert.hu or on the spot. Attending the free concerts of the main stage is subject to prior registration on the Gyárkert website. Free, small stage concerts can be visited without registration.
