The former convent of the nuns came into the possession of the Jesuits of Győr in 1627, who, decades after the expulsion of the Turks, began in 1744 to build the baroque chapel that still stands. It was not completed and consecrated, however, after the Jesuit order was dissolved in 1773 in the territory of Maria Theresa.
