Central Europe's biggest rock band in Veszprém. CITYROCKS was founded by a group of friends of musicians in 2017 in Szeged, Hungary.
The goal of the initiative is to bring live music, including rock music, to as many people as possible, as well as to give a concert experience to professional and experienced musicians as well as to amateurs who until now could only play music at home. In addition, all this in the context of an unusual community experience, where everyone from the smallest to the adults plays and sings together - sometimes even thousands of people. Among the participants of CITYROCKS are children as well as older people. There is neither a minimum nor an upper age limit, at the concerts so far the youngest participant with an instrument was 8, and the oldest was 74. In addition to promoting live music and rock, the important objective of CITYROCKS is to create a cohesive, music-loving and cultivating community. CITYROCKS events are regularly attended by musicians from all countries of the Carpathian Basin, as well as from Poland, Austria, Germany, Great Britain, Sweden, France and Italy.
Thanks to the special flashmob, every city that invites the production as a host will become the capital of the live music community moving in one direction for one day, and thus become a part of this community. What is not primarily about music, but about what connects us through music, through playing music together.
